Client Story: How We Found A Concealed Underground Leak At Bundall Gold Coast

Firstly, concealed water leaks refer to water leaks that are not obvious, and are often hidden from plain sight. The client was only aware of the issue when his neighbour pointed out a lot of water was seeping up through an adjoining concrete slab.

How We Searched for the Concealed Water Leak At Our Client's Bundall Residence

Nick originally suspected the water leak may be within an internal gyprock covered wall due to some noise emanating from the wall. After ruling that out suspicion moved to an external brick rendered wall. This was much more challenging being an external brick rendered wall, but a leak in the external wall was quickly ruled out using another technique.

Firstly this technology combine with our knowledge saved unnecessarily punching holes through the gyprock on the internal walls to look for the leak. This is even more applicable with the external wall which would have been hugely expensive to open up and repair.

Secondly the use of state-of-the-art technologies, allows us to troubleshoot quickly, not waste valuable time and keep our charges down.

Where did we find the concealed water leak?

Using yet another leak detection technique Nick narrowed  down the search area considerably to an external area covered in decorative gravel. The client wasn't as sure as there was absolutely no soggy ground, no puddles, absolutely no sign of any water leaking in the area, even if you walked over it.

But in the end the client was very impressed with the final technique used to locate the precise location of the concealed residential water leak. After digging down through the bone dry surface, some mud was soon exposed. As we kept digging down water was starting to pool. Finally the leaking water pipe was exposed as pictured. The water was leaking at an alarming rate, explaining why so much water was escaping into the clients neighbours property.
